Lake Eyre and the Flinders RangesLake Eyre, $18 to enter the National Park which was spars and desolate, not another sole to be seen until later in the evening when two 4wds turned into and then out of our campsite and headed off to camp somewhere in the sand dunes.

The Flinders Ranges were a huge contrast to the barren landscape of Lake Eyre.
Hans Heysen created some of his wonderful paintings in the Flinders Ranges and made many repeat trips, it was easy to see why he was so drawn to this beautiful part of Australia.
